There was a clear star of the Kingston Democratic Committee’s morning bird watching event and fundraiser. It’s this Rose-Breasted Grosbeak, making itself known to the crowd and stealing hearts along the way.

The Kingston Democratic Committee’s own Charlotte Adamis organized an early-morning bird walk on the NYS Empire Trail that runs along the Hudson River. Wendy Tocci, a member of the John Burroughs Natural History Society, volunteered to lead the walk (JBNHS also loaned out binoculars). Each participant received a beautiful native bird patch, donated by the Bird Collective (thanks to KDC member, Joel Mason), and healthy breakfast snacks, donated by KDC committee members.
