Bill served as Seventh Ward Alderman on the Kingston Common Council between 1994 and 2011, most of those years as the Council's Majority Leader. During his time in office he helped to spearhead the restoration of Kingston’s long vacant City Hall on Broadway among several other restoration projects. A member of the Kingston Democratic Committee for nearly 25 years, Bill also held several executive policy and communications positions in NY State government under the administrations of governors Andrew Cuomo and Kathy Hochul. He served as press secretary for NYS Comptroller Tom DiNapoli, and ran the communications offices for then Senate Democratic Leaders David Paterson and Martin Connor. Bill began his career in government as administrative aide to then Kingston Mayor John Heitzman, and later served as communications director for then Assemblymember Maurice Hinchey. Bill has been a resident of the City of Kingston for 37 years, and is a lifelong resident of Ulster County, having grown up in his other favorite town, Woodstock. Bill lives uptown with his son, Sean, who is pursuing a master’s degree at SUNY Cortland.

Amee has been a valued member of the Kingston Democratic Committee for more than 25 years and has served the committee as  Secretary, Treasurer, Vice Chair, and Co-Chair. She also serves as Treasurer of the Ulster County Democratic Committee and Vice President of the Woodstock Symphony Orchestra. An employee of the City of Kingston, Amee and her husband have two grown children: their daughter (Chair of the Town of Kingston Democratic Committee) is a music therapist at Golden Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and their son is a science teacher in Westchester County.

Rob has been a homeowner in Kingston since 2010, beginning as a weekender and becoming a full-time resident in 2018 when he retired after a three-plus decade career in retailing in New York City.  He resides with his partner in the Wilbur neighborhood. His community involvement includes fundraising and support of the Kingston Land Trust, committee member of the Kingston Food Coop, Kingston Community Fund design project, canvassing for Democratic candidates, volunteering for the Kingston Emergency Food collab, PAC member for the historical survey of Wilbur and support of numerous other local causes. Rob says Kingston is a special place with history, diversity, interesting architecture and a natural beauty amongst many other attributes.  Looking forward to making a difference in the Kingston community, Rob is passionate about maintaining justice, fairness, inclusiveness and furthering the fundamental tenets of our Democracy.
