Acting Ulster County Clerk Taylor John Bruck, a lifelong resident of the City of Kingston, is running for a full term for the office of County clerk. Before becoming Acting County Clerk, he spent eight years in the Clerk’s Office first as Ulster County Archivist, then as Deputy County Clerk.

Bruck is passionate about making local government more accessible and transparent. He’s seen how important it is to make government easier to access—whether that's digitizing records, extending DMV hours, or providing better resources for people navigating the process, like multilingual forms and bilingual staff. Bruck is also committed to sharing a fuller, more inclusive history of Ulster County, especially the stories of those who’ve been overlooked.

From helping new citizens navigate bureaucracy to preserving our local history, Taylor Bruck is ready to ensure the Clerk’s Office works for everyone.
