March Gallagher
Gallagher, who first won election to fill a vacancy in 2019 and was re-elected in 2021, has made transparency and accountability cornerstones of her office.
Among her office’s accomplishments, Gallagher has made county finances available to the public by creating a Public Pay Dashboard and daylighting all County Vendor Contracts and Payments. She released the first ever Ulster County Racial Equity Report and Federal Funds Impact Report. Under Gallagher’s leadership, the Comptroller’s Office released audits resulting in significant additional investment revenues and identified the misuse of COVID grant funds.
She is running for re-election to continue this work and to help guide the county through a continuingly challenging fiscal situation.
